What is ECAT Test?
ECAT is a yearly MCQ test conducted in Punjab by the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. The full form of ECAT is Engineering College Admission Test and it takes place in July, August and September for admission to BE/BS/BSc Engineering degrees. Passing the ECAT is mandatory for admission to all public-sector engineering institutions in Punjab.
What subjects are in ECAT?
Your ECAT test 2022 will be divided into 4 subjects. You can see them listed below:

For some universities, if you’re applying for Bio Engineering, you will be tested on Biology instead of Maths. Along with the ECAT past papers, you need to have a good understanding of the concepts which you’ve studied in 1st year and 2nd year of your intermediate.
What is the date of ECAT 2022?
The ECAT 2022 test date has not been announced yet. The date for ECAT 2022 varies according to the universities through which you’re appearing. Following is a list of different ECAT dates for universities.

How do I apply for ECAT 2022?
Registration for ECAT 2022 started on May 16th 2022. The process is online but you will need to get a token from your university or the bank. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to register for the ECAT test 2022.
IMPORTANT: The last date to apply for the ECAT test 2022 is July 7th 2022 for UET.
- Get an Entry Test token from your university or bank against a payment of Rs.1500/.
- Visit UET’s admission website to apply online here
- Log in with the serial number and token number written in the token
- Fill out the form with the required information
- Upload a recent photograph
- Select your test centre and timing
- Submit the form and get your admit card
How many times ECAT held in a year?
The ECAT is held multiple times a year. When your ECAT 2022 paper depends on the university you are appearing from.
Who is eligible for ECAT?
To be eligible for the ECAT exam 2022, candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks in Intermediate. Currently, there is no age limit for both men and women.
What are passing marks in ECAT
ECAT test passing marks are different depending on what college you want admission to. However, a score of 250 is considered minimum with a score of around 350 gives you a competitive advantage.
What is the fee for the ECAT test?
The ECAT fee for 2022 is Rs.1500/.
Is a calculator allowed in the ECAT exam?
No. The use of calculators is not allowed in the ECAT test 2022. So make sure you practice without a calculator!
