What is the difference between NUMS and MDCAT?
PMDC is the main regulatory body for Medical and Dental college admissions. Pakistan Medical Commission conducts an It entry test which is mandatory for any student who wants to get admission to any of the Public or Private Medical or Dental colleges in Pakistan.
However, the NUMS entry test is only for students who want to get admission to NUMS-affiliated Medical or Dental colleges in Pakistan. Students have to register for it separately through the NUMS website. Even if you have passed the NUMS exam you have to pass the MDCAT exam for admissions but NUMS is not mandatory for medical or Dental colleges that are not affiliated with NUMS.

Overview of NUMS MDCAT Syllabus 2024
NUMS MDCAT 2024 is divided into 02 sections. The first section comprises 150 multiple-choice questions related to the subject. MCQs in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English are included in the NUMS subjective section. NUMS second part consists of the Psychological Test portion which has 100 MCQs with a stipulated time of 30 minutes.
